At Journey's End - A peaceful, pensive melody with a Celtic feel and a sense of nostalgia. It is written with no time signature, as the music flows effortlessly between various meters. The rolled chords have a drone effect, as if played by bagpipes. If the note values are respected, a sense of spaciousness, spontaneity and improvisation is added to the piece. At Journey's End is appropriate for Communion in worship, (with an alternate, sacred music ending), or in other settings where a sense of beauty and peace is desired. For lever or pedal harp, intermediate level, key of D, with a few lever/pedal changes.
