A Healing Place by Philip Hayden is a beautiful and deeply expressive piece for lever or pedal harp, written as a musical reflection on comfort, healing, and gratitude. Composed while in the hospital and experiencing recovery, the piece carries a quiet sense of peace and thankfulness.
Beginning in E minor and gradually making its way to G major, with no accidentals, A Healing Place has a gentle, flowing character that makes it especially well suited to worship, meditation, healing services, or other calm public settings. Its expressive quality also makes it a lovely choice for personal playing and reflection.
The piece is written at an easy-intermediate level and requires no lever or pedal changes. It can also be played comfortably on a small lever harp. Two versions are included: one without fingerings and one with complete fingerings, allowing harpists to choose the version that best suits their playing style and needs.
